Melissa is a native to Los Angeles, California and holds a BA in theater arts from UCSB. She takes a holistic approach to this exciting movement art of dance, and has helped thousands of people expand their potential and enjoy their lives more through bellydance and alternative healing.

Melissa has studied and performed various styles of Middle Eastern dance for over a decade, including Bellydance (various styles including Egyptian, Turkish, Lebanese, tribal and cabaret), Arabic regional folkloric, Greek, Indian, and Persian Classical dance.

Melissa is adept at veil work, balancing (shamadan/candelabra and sword), creating choreography, and she brings a highly energetic and artistic performance to any venue.

Melissa is also a Reiki Master Teacher. Reiki is a vibrational healing technique which can dramatically improve ones life on all levels - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Anyone can do it and it works! She also performs as various characters with her theatrical troupe Brethren of the Coast and historical reenactment of Rome.
